Gemfire Variable Multiplexer

The Gemfire V-Mux product line offers best-in-class performance by combining our unique VOA (variable optical attenuator) array products with our best-in-class silica AWG (arrayed waveguide grating) technology. The result is a device that offers convenient digital control with low power consumption, a fast response time, and outstanding optical performance.

The V-Mux is available in various configurations of 8-48 channels and is offered in both Gaussian and wide-band passband versions. The attenuation range is 10 or 20dB. Gemfire offers custom optical modules tailored to your needs as well as MSA-compliant versions. Some typical applications for the Gemfire V-Mux include:
